What's your home worth?

TRREB reported 508 sales in Mississauga in October 2026, the highest count among the 10 cities outside Toronto covered here, at an average price of $927,521 and a median of $843,000. The split by type matters: detached homes averaged $1,326,044 across 200 sales, while 128 condo apartments averaged $504,685. New listings (1,332) far outnumbered sales, and there were 2,342 active listings at month end, about 4.9 months of inventory on TRREB's trend measure. Homes sold for 97% of list price on average after 35 days on market. These figures are one month of data and move from month to month.
Mississauga's housing is more mixed than most 905 cities. In 2021, single-detached houses made up 37.1% of occupied dwellings, while apartments in buildings of five or more storeys were 27.3%, a higher high-rise share than Brampton, Oakville, Vaughan, Markham or Richmond Hill. Row houses (14.1%) and semi-detached homes (11.0%) fill much of the middle ground, which is why townhouse and semi listings come up across Meadowvale, Erin Mills and Malton. Lakeshore areas such as Port Credit, Mineola and Lorne Park lean toward detached houses, while the City Centre around Square One is dominated by towers. About seven in ten households owned their home in 2021, and owners put the median value of their dwelling at $900,000.

Parks, neighbourhoods and who Mississauga suits.
Mississauga sits directly west of Toronto in Peel Region, running from the Lake Ontario shoreline at Port Credit and Clarkson north to Meadowvale and Malton. The 2021 Census counted 717,961 residents, a small dip from 2016, and just over half of people in private households were immigrants. It is a city of two housing worlds: older detached streets and a large high-rise core, both tied together by GO trains and the Transitway.
Daily life in Mississauga depends a lot on which end of the city you are in. Along the lake, Port Credit and Clarkson revolve around the waterfront, with Jack Darling Memorial Park and the boardwalks of Rattray Marsh close by. The City Centre has Celebration Square and the Living Arts Centre, both listed among the city's event venues, plus the Kariya Park Japanese garden for a quiet break between towers. Further north, Streetsville and Meadowvale feel more like self-contained suburbs with their own GO stations. No single language group dominates: the most common non-official mother tongues in 2021 were Urdu, Arabic, Mandarin and Polish, each spoken first by roughly 3% to 5% of residents. Two post-secondary campuses, U of T Mississauga and Sheridan's Hazel McCallion Campus, add a steady student presence.

TRREB's Market Watch put the Mississauga average at $927,521 across 508 sales in October 2026, with a median of $843,000. Detached homes averaged $1,326,044 and condo apartments averaged $504,685, so the right comparison depends heavily on the type of home you are looking at.
Both. In the 2021 Census, 37.1% of occupied dwellings were single-detached houses and 27.3% were apartments in buildings of five or more storeys. Semis and row houses together made up roughly a quarter of the stock.
The Lakeshore West line stops at Port Credit and Clarkson. The Milton line stops at Dixie, Cooksville, Erindale, Streetsville, Meadowvale and Lisgar. Malton GO, on the Kitchener line, sits in the city's northeast corner.
In 2021, 29.6% of private households rented and 70.4% owned. The median monthly shelter cost for rented dwellings was $1,600 at the time of the census.
